A Brief Introduction:

There are many unknowns in this world. Some people are born to search for the truth. In 2008 two such persons, Steve Edwards and Lisa Hudson, joined together in a joint quest to search for the truth of the unknown; that which is called the paranormal. Their effort has brought together a band of individuals dedicated to finding answers concerning paranormal activity. The result was the formation of North Central Paranormal or NCP. Basing its self in science and logic; NCP strives to make sense of things that don't seem to have a reasonable explanation. Going with the old motto: when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Over the last few years, NCP has found observed and caught some incredible evidence of paranormal activity, some of which is included on this website.

NCP has completed numerous investigations all across the state of Indiana. No case is too small or large. A high percentage of the cases we deal with are private homes. Confidentiality is a high priority of NCP. Private individuals and businesses do not need to fear embarrassment as a result of our investigations. Each one is handled in a professional manner.  We are now extending our services out to surrounding states. The upcoming year of 2011 will be a another exciting set of  known haunted locations as well as private residences and personal business sites.

Not every house or building is haunted!

Most people think of a paranormal haunting as a place, or sometimes an object such as a piece of furniture, that is occupied or "possessed" by "ghosts" of "spirits." People generally consider a place "haunted" if there has been a history of apparitional sightings, or if unexplained noises, movements of objects, or other strange physical effects repeatedly occur there. Even when people repeatedly "pick up" or sense eerie feelings or "bad vibes" from a place or an object it is often considered "haunted." However, these experiences may or may not be actual haunting. Most parapsychologists consider haunting to be "recordings" of past events that are repetitiously "replayed" and "decoded" by those sensitive enough to perceive them. In other words, an event that occurs in a certain place is somehow recorded and stored in a manner not yet understood, and later circumstances "trigger" the event recording to be "replayed." The environment acts as a sort of audio/video recorder, and like a tape player with the right buttons pressed, the event continues to be replayed at any time the playback or trigger conditions are met. In similar fashion, an object may contain and then flashback the memory or record of past events or people that have surrounded it or owned it (this ability to "read" an object's history is called psychometric).

Other hauntings seem to involve intelligent entities that can interact with living people and sometimes animals.

Some reasons the ghost may be tied to the site or people:

  1. Died as a result of a traumatic event, murder, car accident, etc.
  2. Due to unfinished business.
  3. The spirit may have died suddenly and not realized he/she died.
  4. The living loved ones are so emotionally distraught they can’t let go.
  5. The spirit is emotionally connected to their loved ones.
  6. They cannot rest due to an injustice done to them.
  7. Fear of the other side or judgment

These ghosts are generally associated with physical activity like slamming, opening, closing, unlocking doors and windows, voices, and sounds.  A strong presence, a scent, or touch may be experienced.  People rarely see a manifestation of the ghost in the form of an apparition or mist.

North Central Paranormal's main focus in investigations is to help the public with issues they may be having with the paranormal.  Many claims can be disproved as natural or explainable events . Whatever evidence is left is then scrutinized by all members of our team. We objectively try to classify the events of an investigations as either paranormal or not paranormal to the best of our ability. Nearly 90 % of the time, claims can be debunked as explainable.
