Electronic Voice Phenomena has been a part of paranormal research for many years. In theory, they are voices that can only be heard on playbacks of electronic recordings. Some investigators use a white noise making device in an attempt to generate more EVP responses. The thinking is that white noise will encourage entities to speak. NCP does not use such devices. Background noise that is heard in any of our recordings is tape "hiss" when we use tape driven recorders; or natural background noise when we use digital recorders. The evidence presented here are actual recorded evidence collected at client investigations. They have not been altered other than amplification or normalizing of the signals. Clear EVP's where the voice is clearly heard with little or no effort, we call Class A EVPs. If they are whispered or not as clear, they are classified as Class B EVP's. We drop all other levels of voices or noises into Class C EVP's; as they are not as recognizable or clear to understand.
